TEST 1

1.    Unplug the meter from the outlet.

2.    Detach the inside unit from the outside unit by disconnecting the black, white, and green wires from
the cable that connects the two units.  In some cases, the connections may be inside the meter.
You may be able to get to them by simply removing the black grommet where the cable enters the
meter, and pulling the cable out of the inside unit.  DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO DO
THIS.  If you are still unable to reach the connections, remove the ten black allen wrench screws
on the cover and disconnect the cable within the unit.

3.    Take the black and white wires coming from the inside unit and wire them together.  The cable
going to the outside unit should be disconnected, as well as, the green wire going to the inside unit.

4.    Plug the meter back into the outlet.

5.    For the best results, the test should be run for 24 hours.  If your meter does not add any counts in
the first 45 minutes, check the connections and try again.  If it still does not add any counts refer
to the test result indications below.
