TEST 1
1. Unplug the meter from the outlet.
2. Detach the inside unit from the outside
unit by disconnecting the black, white, and green wires from
the cable that connects
the two units. In some cases, the connections may be inside the meter.
You may be able
to get to them by simply removing the black grommet where the cable enters
the
meter, and pulling
the cable out of the inside unit. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO DO
THIS. If you
are still unable to reach the connections, remove the ten black allen wrench
screws
on the cover and
disconnect the cable within the unit.
3. Take the black and white wires coming
from the inside unit and wire them together. The cable
going to the outside
unit should be disconnected, as well as, the green wire going to the inside
unit.
4. Plug the meter back into the outlet.
5. For the best results, the test should
be run for 24 hours. If your meter does not add any counts in
the first 45 minutes,
check the connections and try again. If it still does not add any
counts refer
to the test result
indications below.
TEST RESULT
-
The correct results for the F-90 is 3-5
counts per hour or 100 counts in 24 hours.
-
The correct results for the F-90H is 3-5
counts per hour on both the 'heat only' counter and the 'heat and hot water'
counter, or 100 counts on both counter in 24 hours.
-
Example] If the test
is run for 3 hours, the meter should accumulate 11-13 degree days.
-
The longer the test is run the closer
the average counts per hour will be to four.

-
If your F-90 or

to our service center for testing and service. Click HERE

-
If your F-90H did
not produce any counts, run TEST 3 then try Test
1 again. Your meter was probably in the process of adding a hot water
count when the unit was unplugged to disconnect the cable. You will
not need to run Test 3 for more than one hour. The results of Test
3 are not important. It is very possible the unit will not even add
one count. If it still doesn't add any counts after that, send the
inside unit to our service center for testing and repair. Click HERE
