1.    Unplug the meter from the outlet.

2.    Detach the inside unit from the outside unit by disconnecting the black, white, and green wires from
       the cable that connects the two units.  In some cases, the connections may be inside the meter.
       You may be able to get to them by simply removing the black grommet where the cable enters the
       meter, and pulling the cable out of the inside unit.  DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO DO
       THIS.  If you are still unable to reach the connections, remove the ten black allen wrench screws
       on the cover and disconnect the cable within the unit.

3.     Leave all the wires disconnected.  Make sure the wires are not in contact with each other.  The
        cable going to the outside unit should also be left disconnected.

4.     Plug the meter back into the outlet.

5.     For the best results, the test should be run for at least 24 hours.  The longer the test is run the more
        accurate the results will be.  If your meter begins to add any counts to the 'heat only' counter,
        check the connections and try again.

•     The correct results for the F-90H is six counts in 24 hours on only the 'heat & hot water' counter.  Approximately one count every four hours.  The test may produce one count less or one count more that six depending on how close the meter was to adding a count when the test was started.

•    Example]    If the test is run for 28 hours, the meter should accumulate 6-8 degree days on the heat & hot water counter.
